The Historic Moose Lodge Temple built in 1852 was renovated in 1992 and is furnished and equipped as a vacation rental located in the Historic District of Astoria Oregon a few blocks from the Columbia River, historic downtown featuring restaurants, shops, museums, breweries and the famous river walk. The historic house was built in 1852 and became the Fraternal Order of the Moose in 1900 for over 50 years, then the Mormon Temple later. It still has original fur floors, some original windows and beautiful open beamed ceiling with skylights. The vacation rental is a two bedroom space with large common area and kitchen. Each bedroom has a queen bed, an exclusive bathroom, and lux amenities. Suite I has private bath with large step-in shower and Suite II has 2 person Jacuzzi bathtub with overhead rain shower. The common area has a futon sofa couch for two additional guests. The galley size kitchen has cook top stove, small refrigerator and counter top microwave/convection oven. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals and snacks. A large dining table can accommodate at least 6 people, and a high chair is also available. A private entrance opens onto a large deck with seating and table . The space is approximately 900 sq ft and is family friendly and pet friendly, a pet fee is required and extra fee for over 4 people. The Moose Lodge is part of the Clementine's Bed & Breakfast property next door which has been in business since 1993. Breakfast can be included and delivered for additional cost. The Lodge is easily accessible for walkers & wheelchairs , one of the bathrooms has a large shower with chair when requested. It's our pleasure to have been welcoming guests to our home for over 8 years now, with the intention to provide comfortable and safe lodging in the heart of beautiful Hammond / Astoria. Following CDC guidelines, we have implemented Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfecting protocols between all guests stays. Our 2-story home is situated at the mouth of the Columbia River, with historic Astoria to the east and Ft Stevens State Park just to the west. This is our family's frequent escape, well suited to maximize comfort, relaxation, and rejuvenation while having easy access to the scenic beauties of the North Coast, truly Pacific Wonderland! The cathedral ceiling living room has full views of the Columbia River estuary which spans four miles across to Washington's Long Beach Peninsula. The Columbia River's narrow shipping channel is situated immediately in front of the house offering an ongoing parade of maritime traffic; enjoyable from the front yard Adirondack chairs, or from the cozy comfort of our living room sofa. A 2-story living room opens up to kitchen and dining areas with panoramic views of the Columbia River. A 65-inch LED SmartTV sits above a gas fireplace and flanks the large living room window. Entertainment options include Home Theater with HD satellite TV including premium channels HBO, Disney+ Netflix, Wi-Fi internet , DVD , and AirPlay to wirelessly stream your music. A well stocked kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and cooking implements, makes staying in and cooking a pleasure. A powder room is conveniently situated off the main living room area. Greetings from Jake and Cherry, we are the owners of the Crows Nest Vacation Rental, and we also live in the house. I hope it is working all right for you to view. Our two bedroom unit is perfect for 4 people, with views from every window. We have had 6 folks stay who used the sofa and a roll away single bed in the living room. and were very comfortable. We have totally renovated and decorated this unit in our 108 year old house. The rental is two flights up, one stairway outside and one inside, which gives you great views to enjoy the beautiful Columbia river and the many ships that pass by daily. We will help with you with your luggage if that is a concern for you. From the windows you look down on the marina, and across to Washington with a brilliant view of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, and our view is one of the best around we have been told. There are 30 ships monthly that pass us, if you enjoy ship tracking. If you enjoy the outdoors and do not want to stray too far, the porch, deck, and large yard with picnic table and bar-b-que are maybe just what you need. We are at the end of the street with forested areas on two sides of us. It is a fairly easy walk down to have coffee, or drive through at Dutch Brothers, Kick Ass coffee, and 3 cups. You may choose to walk into town if you are up for it. We love to board the Trolley below us in the summer for a hour ride along the river listening to interesting stories and facts about Astoria's history. For $2.00 you can ride the Trolley and get on and off as much as you like, or for $1.00 stay on for the whole ride, just wave a dollar and they will stop for you. It is under construction right now. Astoria has many restaurants, micro breweries, and coffee houses to visit, plus shopping, antiquing, or visiting galleries. If you love the outdoors, there are various hiking trails and beaches everywhere. Local towns like Warrenton, Gearheart, Seaside, and Cannon Beach are within an hours drive to enjoy the beaches, shopping, and even golfing. We think a "must" is to travel up to the Astoria Column to enjoy the gorgeous panoramic views of the Columbia River, Young's Bay, Saddle Mountain and the Coast Range any time of the year. Great walking trail leads to a nice walk to the top of the hill or down a staircase to connect to sidewalks for a walk down to the trolley, to take you and your family to town, or to the esplanade to bike or walk to town on your own. Directly up the hill from Downtown Astoria, the location is absolutely the best! You can literally see the Columbia River from every room in the house except the one upstairs bathroom that doesn’t have a window! Still, you are close enough to easily walk downtown to one of the many shops, restaurants or brew pubs and in the summer you can walk to the Sunday Market. The main floor features a fully furnished modern kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender and microwave. There is also a family room with a picture window that just begs you to relax on the leather loveseat with a cup of tea to watch the river traffic. Adjacent to that is the dining room with a table that seats 6-8 as well as a living room with a full size sleeper sofa, recliner and a 40” LED TV and a stereo. Rounding out the main floor is a small study area and a half bath. All three bedrooms are located upstairs as is a full bath with a bathtub/shower combo. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other is furnished with two twin beds. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and has a walk in closet and en suite bathroom. There are decks providing access to the backyard on both levels. The secluded backyard features tall trees, lots of native greenery and appears to be the permanent grazing grounds for a small herd of deer.

Our open 2 bedroom home has plenty of space to relax and unwind on your Oregon coast adventure. From the living room window you can see docking boats and the piers, and a short walk gets you to the historic riverwalk and downtown Astoria. We can accommodate up to 8, with two queen beds, 1 king bed, a sofa sleeper and an additional couch. You are welcome to bring your dog along on your stay, as well.

This is our well -loved, cozy, family cottage with spectacular 180 degree views of the mouth of the Columbia River. Newly spruced up for rental, our home is the perfect space for one or two couples, it is also kid and pet friendly. Book some time now to enjoy all Astoria and the North Coast has to offer. Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, 3 bedroom/1.5 bath 1921 Craftsman home.  The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, while the 2 remaining rooms are furnished with a queen sized bed, a bunk bed and a twin bed, comfortable for sleeping 8 people.  The NE facing living room provides a great place to gather for conversation or TV/DVD watching. The TV is set up with Direct TV which includes 150 channels and a Blu-Ray player. A phone is provided as well as fast wifi. It is furnished with a sofa sleeper couch and side chairs with a coffee table. The art work found throughout the house is exceptional. The kitchen is perfect for dining as there are 4 stools as well as a designated dining room for meals. Board games and books are provided next to the dining room. The kitchen is equipped with 2 sets of 16 piece dish set, 20 piece flatware, a toaster, 5 qt crock pot , coffee maker, microwave, a knife set, an 18 piece cookware, and more helpful kitchen utensils for baking and cooking.  The front porch has a beautiful view of the river with a porch swing. The back yard is fenced off and has a spacious deck with an outdoor grill. There is a treadmill set up downstairs. It is located in the neighborhood of the Goonies House and steps from the Astor School where they filmed Kindergarten Cop. The Astoria Riverwalk is 6.4 miles along the Columbia River and is only a 15 minute walk from the house. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of exploring the city and enjoy the culinary diversity of our restaurants. Later watch the sunset from a number of these restaurants with the Astoria Megler Bridge spanning the mouth of the Columbia River.
